Philippines Disaster - WFR Sends Goods

When a very strong typhoon recently hit the Philippines, it left a wake of destruction. There were many lives lost and people who lost everything they owned. WFR is sending food and clothes to the victims of this typhoon and praying for successful disaster relief efforts. We appreciate your prayers for the victims and financial support so that we can make more resources available to help the people in their recovery.

Santa Ana Recovery Home

There is a church in Santa Ana whose mission is to help the least and the lost. They have recovery homes for men and women who are on the streets - the drug addicts, homeless, prostitutes, teens in gangs who have nowhere to go, and others. When we first met Maria and the women at the home she runs in Santa Ana through the Santa Ana Restoration Church, we knew that WFR would support their amazing work in our local communities. After visiting with Maria and the women in the home, we were inspired by the stories of many difficulties each one had faced and the progress they were making. The testimonies of the dramatic changes in the lives of these women are incredible, and it wasn't easy for them to make the changes. But the loving staff helps them in so many ways. They bring God's Word and His love into their lives on a continual basis. The results are truly wonderful, and one of the women who came in helpless and hurting is now going with Maria and her husband as missionaries in Mexico to start a new church and shelter home there. Partner with us as WFR supports their efforts to show God's love to those who are hurting with resources and prayer.

HMM Israel Trip

The drama team, His Majesty's Ministries (HMM), just returned from their trip to Israel where the Newcombs and Shorts ministered in Messianic congregations and tasted the Israeli way of life. Their unique plays with original music make the stories and lessons in the Bible come alive. HMM is touring the West Coast this fall and booking engagements now. With Grateful Hearts We Remember

With grateful hearts we remember the bubbly smile of Genyne Marks, Pastor Stan Summer's daughter who recently passed away from a stroke. Genyne was a wonderful worship leader whose heart and passion for God came through her music as she led many people into God's throne room while we sang and lifted our hands to the Lord in thanksgiving together. She will surely be missed. Her life was a blessing to those around her. Our prayers are with Anthony and Pastor Stan's families and House of Mercy Church in Bishop CA.

Mary's Shelter - A Place for Pregnant Teens

There is a special home for pregnant teens with no one to turn to called Mary's Shelter. They provide loving care for these soon to be young mothers and training on how to care for their babies. Water From the Rock has been supporting Mary's Shelter in Tustin, CA for years. We have seen the fruit of their efforts and met with the young girls who are bringing their babies into a loving environment. There are too many girls who don't have someone to help them like Mary's Shelter when they find out that they are pregnant. Our communities are benefiting from Mary's Shelther as lives are changed "two at a time".

MUSIC FEST, House of Mercy Church, Bishop CA

Pastor Stan Summers and House of Mercy Church hosted a Music Fest on the Indian Rez in Bishop, CA. There was a lot of good music, fellowship, eating BBQ and being merry. Rhet & Pete had a great time with our friends and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. Water From the Rock brought clothes and toys for the kids and watched them play around, dance, and have a good time. Stan's band was jammin with Janine, his daughter, on keyboards, Rhet brought her guitar, and other talented muscians played their worship songs. Appalachian Mountain Outreach

There is a pastor missionary in North Carolina that is bringing hope to people in the mountain towns that have been abandoned for the most part. His name is Alan Eakin with Wings of Faith East. They acquired an old 1995 Tahoe to haul goods up in the winding mountain roads, but the transmission went out. Water From the Rock sent a donation for a new transmission and repairs on the vehicle to get it back in commission. There are desparate families all around that area being served with food, clothes, and Bible materials on a regular basis that would otherwise have no hope. Together we are making an impact in their lives and bringing God's love to them. see photos on Home page

Christmas Presents needed - Stuffed Animals for Tots

We are gathering as many stuffed animals as we can before Christmas to donate to needy children on Indian Reservations in the southwestern states. Let your generosity touch the heart of a child this Christmas and donate new stuffed animals or ones that are in very good condition. Wings of Faith flies these stuffed animals into remote areas before Christmas.

House of Mercy Camp Meeting, Bishop CA

Pete and Rhet went to the annual Camp Meeting at House of Mercy Church on the Paiute Indian Reservation in Bishop CA on 9-8. There was a hunger for God's touch as Pastors from Indian Reservations in the southwest gathered to praise, pray, and share a message of hope and healing. We were so happy to connect up with our friends, Pastor Stan, Pastor Dave, Dale, Ellen, Shawn, Lori, Pastor Bruce and Kathy, Pastor Kenny, Debbie, and many others.
Little baby "Feather", Stan's 13th grandchild, was dedicated on the last day of Camp Meeting. What a joy! The food was fabulous and the servers were so helpful. As we shared the trials of life that hit us and the ways God supported us, there was an atmosphere of hope that rose up to encourage our hearts. We lifted our voices in praise and prayed for each other with great expectantcy. Thank you all for making our second Camp Meeting in Bishop an amazing experience.
