Philippines Pastor Ministers to Street Children and Prisoners

August 16, 2010
Rhet had the pleasure of meeting Pastor Leo Mitchao through Chaplain Gerry McFadden who supported Pastor Leo's work in the Philippines in recent years.  Pastor Leo, Sonia and their three children live in difficult conditions where poverty is all around them.  They help the poor families in their church and street children living who are homeless with food, clothes, and necessities.  Another important part of Pastor Leo's outreach is to share the Gospel and encourage the inmates at jails in the Philippines.

Pastor Leo distributes goods sent by Water From the Rock

Your financial support and partnership with Water From the Rock will help us to tend to the physical and spiritual needs of these precious people who are so grateful for having others who care come alongside them.  When you help someone who is in need in Jesus' name, it is as if you have done it for Him.  Please pray for God to bless the labor of Pastor Leo Mitchao and his church's hands as they continue to help others in need.

In June 2010 WFR and our wonderful partners sent a huge box of goods to Pastor Leo Mitchao in Davao, Philippines along with a donation to help his church and vital ministry there.  Pastor Leo and his wife Sonia reach out to the street children and have Bible studies, feed those who live in poverty, and visit various jails in the Philippines.  They have a big heart and the love of God for their people.  Pastor Leo, Sonia, and their three children have many needs themselves, but they are always helping others in their community.  They are currently in need of food, toiletries, and basic school supplies which we can provide through your financial support to Water From the Rock.

Families in the Philippines are given food and toiletries because of your generosity.
